


She was born in Eugene Oregon where she was adopted by a family and grew up in Monroe Oregon. Katherine grew up working on the family grass seed farm driving tractors, combines, windrowers, trucks, and hauling equipment. In her off time she was working for the neighbor cleaning horse stalls and riding horses, she had her first job there at the age of six. Katherine participated in basketball, softball, volleyball and track in grade school and high school. She earned a scholarship from Gatorade playing ASA softball and went on to state her Junior and Senior years of high school. Katherine also earned 7 other scholarships upon graduation from Monroe Union High School. The Ford Foundation, Linn Benton Community College, Future Farmers of America, Hewlett Packard, 4H, Oregon State University Science, and the Cody Foundation. After graduation in 2001 Katherine started the dual enrollment program with LBCC and OSU where she pursued her bachelors of Science in Animal Science.
After 9-11-2001 Katherine decided to sign up for the Army. She served on Active duty as an Animal Care Specialist (91T) until her honorable discharge in 2006. She served 2 tours of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. She was stationed at Ft Jackson South Carolina, Ft Sam Houston Texas, Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland and Ft Belvoir Virginia. Katherine received her CVT education and license through Texas State University during her service in the United States Army. Upon returning home to Monroe Oregon in 2007 Katherine picked up a veterinary technician job working at a large animal hospital in Eugene Oregon; Del Oeste Equine Hospital. She worked there until 2012. She finished out her degree at OSU to receive her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from OSU in 2012. Then an opportunity came up to work at the emergency hospital in Corvallis, Oregon so she started a graveyard shift at the Willamette Veterinary Emergency Hospital where she worked until 2018.
Katherine changed jobs again after having her first child November 9th 2019 and started working at the Salem Veterinary Emergency Hospital. Finding the hours hard to find child care an opportunity arose to work for The Pet Clinic of Salem and she has been here since August 2019. Katherine grew up riding horses and always having dogs and cats at home. She participated in rodeos and play day’s with her horses. She was a member of the Northwest Professional Rodeo Association, Western Horsemen of Oregon, Oregon Barrel Racing Association, Barrel Racers National 4D, and Beaver State Can Chasers.
She currently owns her childhood horse that is now 28 years old as well as 3 other horses that she currently rides and works with. She also has a Bull Mastiff named Stitch and a Chihuahua named Roxy as well as a cat named Dottie.


Casey was attending University of Oregon until 2007 when she decided to take an opportunity to work in the veterinary field. As a little girl she wanted to be a veterinarian, so her love for animals started at a young age. She was very excited to be able to work in the field and help make a difference.
Casey lives in Aurora, Oregon with her boyfriend and their two crazy cats Goose and Duckie. They are very excited to add a new addition of a puppy soon to their family.
